Programma

Lyric performance, public festival and symposium. Poems and fragments by ancient poets will be read and discussed together. A special attention will be paid to understanding the diachronic relation between the aforementioned texts and their different publics.

While the texts to be read will be selected during the course itself, the starting point will be Alcman's fr. 1 Calame, which the students attending the course will have to read beforehand in Calame's edition and commentary.

Before the group discussion begins, some introductory frontal lessons will take place.

The institutional part of the exam program, the same for every course in L-FIL-LET/02 (a reading list of Greek texts and/or literary history) will be included in the didactic material of each professor and will be explained and the beginning of the course.
