Obiettivi formativi
L'insegnamento intende presentare agli studenti un’introduzione critica ai problemi esegetici relativi ai testi della letteratura greca che non sono giunti fino a noi nella loro interezza; lo studente acquisirà la capacità di orientarsi nella ricostruzione della fisionomia storico-letteraria di autori e/o di testi frammentari.
This course aims to offer to the students a critical introduction to exegetical problems concerning Greek fragmentary texts. The students will gain ability in understanding the methods of the historical and literary reconstruction regarding fragmentary authors and/or texts.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi
Al termine dell’insegnamento lo studente dovrà dimostrare: 1) capacità di orientarsi su un testo di tipo frammentario; 2) capacità di comprendere e di inquadrare in una prospettiva storico-letteraria i testi presentati a lezione; 3) capacità di collocare nell’appropriato contesto culturale le varianti mitiche relative alla narrazione degli antefatti e delle prime fasi della guerra di Troia.
At the end of the course students must be able to demonstrate: 1) skill in finding out the meaning of a fragmentary text; 2) skill in understanding and placing the texts analysed during the course in their historical and literary perspective; 3) skill in setting the mythical variants relative to the backgroud and the earliest stages of the Trojan war within their correct cultural context.

Lezioni della durata di 36 ore complessive (6 CFU), che si svolgono in aula in forma frontale; una parte dell’insegnamento potrà assumere forma seminariale.
36 hours long lessons at all (6 CFU); the lessons are given in classrooms and are frontal; a part of teaching may be taken in a seminar way.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Conoscenze e capacità previste saranno verificate mediante un colloquio (almeno due domande sui testi oggetto dell’insegnamento e una domanda su una delle letture critiche presentate durante le lezioni) volto a mettere in luce se e in quale misura lo studente abbia raggiunto i risultati dell’apprendimento attesi.
The expected knowledge and skills will be verified by means of an oral examen (at least two questions about the texts examined in the course and one question about the critical readings presented during the lessons). The aim is to bring out if and how much students reached the expected learning outcomes.

L'insegnamento intende presentare agli studenti un’introduzione critica ai problemi esegetici specifici dei testi frammentari e fornire i relativi strumenti di analisi e di interpretazione.
In particolare, l'insegnamento sarà dedicato alla lettura di testi (poemi del Ciclo, mitografi, lirici, tragedie frammentarie) relativi alla narrazione degli antefatti e delle prime fasi della guerra di Troia: saranno oggetto di analisi le fonti letterarie che tramandano varianti mitiche relative alla cause della guerra, alle vicende del raduno degli eroi e della spedizione verso Troia e ai primi anni della guerra.
Il programma d’esame comprende quanto svolto a lezione. L'elenco definitivo dei passi tradotti e analizzati durante le lezioni sarà fornito alla fine dell'insegnamento e pubblicato sul sito.
This course aims to offer to the students a critical introduction to the exegetical problems which are specific of fragmentary texts and to supply the tools suitable for analysing and interpreting these texts.
In detail, the teacher will read texts (epic Cycle, mytographers, lyric poets, fragmentary tragedies) dealing with the background and the earliest stages of the Trojan war. Moreover the teacher will analyse the literary sources which hand on the mytical variants relative to the causes of the war, to the events of the meeting of the heroes and of the expedition towards Troy, and to the first years of the war.
The final examen will be about the issues dealt with during the course. The list of the passages translated and analised during the course will be given at the end of the lessons and published on the website.
